Cox Camping Policies

Vic Cox and his staff wants to thank you for camping with us and hope you will have a very enjoyable visit here in "Wild and Wonderful" West Virginia. Be kind and considerate to all living creatures. 

Our Policies are intended to protect this beautiful environment for all who are staying with us. We reserve the right to evict anyone violating these rules, destroying property, or otherwise creating a disturbance.  No refunds will be given under these circumstances.

SPEED LIMIT: Please observe MAXIMUM 5-MPH SPEED LIMIT on all camp roads.
Watch out for Children and other Critters at Play.  Keep the dust down.
CHILDREN: Children must be supervised by an Adult at all times. 
All persons under the age of 18 are to return to their sites by 10:00 PM.
QUIET TIME: 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.  Please be considerate of your camping neighbors.
VISITORS: Please register at the office and obtain a car pass.
Fees for Visitors staying after 10:00 PM will be payable upon arrival.
ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES:
Permitted on your site.  No underage (under 21) drinking allowed.
No one is permitted to stray from their site with alcoholic beverages.
Excessive drinking and/or rowdiness, loudness, vulgarity or creating a disturbance will not be tolerated.  NO REFUNDS.
PETS: Keep dogs leashed at all times.  Clean up after your pet.
Register your pets at the office.  Vaccine records must be up-to-date.
FISHING: Some ponds are stocked.  Catch and release only.
Check with the office for more details and fishing gear.
SWIMMING: NO SWIMMING ALLOWED. Please, for your own safety do not wade into any streams or ponds.
WATER: Cox Camping uses a well for its water supply.  No washing of cars or RV's.
WASTE: Dumping of waste water of any kind is not permitted on the grounds.
Use our Dumping Station to dump all waste water.
FIRES: Check with office before building a camp fire for conditions and restrictions.
Campfires only in designated fire rings.  No fire should be left unattended.
Firearms, fireworks, sparklers and explosives of any kind are prohibited.
GRILLS: Please do not place the grill on an unprotected wooden picnic table.
TRASH: Place bagged trash in designated containers.  Do not leave trash at your site.
WILDLIFE: You are visiting their home.  Do not feed or approach any wildlife.
HIKING: Hiking allowed only in designated areas.  Do not wonder into the woods.
VEHICLES: All motorized vehicles should stay on designated roads and are not allowed "off-road" or on "hiking trails".  No excessive noise allowed at any time.
